On the Four Oaks Estate, this home extension started below ground in the form of a swimming pool planned in the basement.
Working alongside the principal designer, we came up with a Contiguous Piled Wall System with Reinforced Capping Beam to enable us to dig out to a depth of 5.5m without the use of frames. That worked out to about 120 loads of material off site or about 1,440 cubic metres of earth.
